One flash of lightning: A Samurai path for living in the moment
From page 7: "Integrity, candor and depth are human signatures that bridge the Samurai Way across centuries to a timeliess truth of self-excavation and spiritual awakening. May the visceral poetry of the Samurai Code ignite in you an appetite for the heat of inner change. May one flash of lightning fix your gaze on the hard-won prize of a heaven unchained."
...a heaven unchained... I am veritably transfixed by this idea.
Have been in touch with my "seeking" side (not half as much as the Ohioan among us) and this tiny tome (94 page pocket book) is both a gift and a sign for me.
Namaste!

I like the new look Robin...
"a heaven unchained"? Hmm.. what does that heaven look like to you?
Mine would look similar to what it is--but without the physical labor of it?! :) Is that silly? Is it impossible to enjoy what it is without the investment of sweat/worry equity?
I've miss you all lots lately...
and what have I been reading? Hmmm. Budgets and emails, policies an-
Mostly Michael Yon's blog online, and the twilight series at the bedside and an awful lot of Christmas catalogs in the bathroom!
Just thought I would shake up the look a little. I am surprised at how UNimaginative the Blogger templates really are!
A heaven unchained doesn't really "look" like anything to me so much as it made me realize that the very fact that I have ideals about heaven are the chains already in place upon it.
While I like to think my loved ones are in heaven, and that it is all white clouds and golden lyre music and angel wings...I think it is the liberation of our own mind in this life that allows us to experience heaven.
Tell me that you have not been bringing that stuff home (budgets, etc.)! The thing I am most proud of - work wise - over the past year is the fact that my rolling briefcase is gathering dust!
